Who we are

Here at BT Global Services, we’ve firmly established ourselves as a leader in managed networked IT services working across an exciting and diverse range of industries. Our people are nothing if not passionate about the work they do – and its important work at that. We give a helping hand to customers in need of guidance because, just like our staff, we want them to truly thrive and be able to work at their very best!

We’re based everywhere from Madrid to Moscow, operating network and IT systems for important corporate customers across Europe. They include two thirds of the top German companies, ninety percent of France’s CAC40 organisations, 29 businesses listed in Spain’s IBEX index, and many more enterprises of all shapes and sizes! From high speed networks to data security – if somebody needs it, we deliver it. It’s as simple as that.

About the programme

Our Global Services Graduate programme in Europe is designed to enhance your leadership skills and get you feeling confident enough to really take charge in this part of the business. Roles are varied, but all have a strong focus on business management. Our end goal for graduates is to develop each and everyone one of you into top notch General Manager material. We also run a Security Grad scheme for you to get involved with too!

The programme is rotational, providing 4x6 assignments (rotations) – each focusing on key areas of our business. Expect to develop a wealth of knowledge and get ready to absorb everything you can! Each rotation could be in areas including Project Management, Business Improvement, Business Consultancy and Client Engagement.

As if that wasn’t enough to soak up, you’ll also have all of the training, career advice, encouragement, nurturing and support you could ever wish for to really kick-start your new career with a bang. Our core graduate training is made up of 20 days across each year. Over two years you’ll be laying a solid foundation for a career which can lead to a senior leadership role at BT – what could be better! At the end of your time on our programme, your breadth of knowledge and brand new skillset will put you in fantastic stead for a challenging and rewarding role in our very own business.

What we look for

There are many opportunities here at BT, in more countries that you thought!

It’s important to remember that you can only apply for one country within each graduate campaign though.

Here’s the finer detail when it comes to each country’s programme requirements – have a careful read through to see which ones you could be suitable for.

Spain

  • An Engineering Degree (Preferred: Superior Industrial/Superior IT) with a mark of 2 (Bien). Certificated marks will be requested.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • The legal right to work in Spain or the EU.

Netherlands

  • At least a masters degree with an average grade of 7.5
  • Fluency in English, Dutch is recommended
  • Maximum of 2 years' working experience
  • The legal right to work in the Netherlands or the EU

Belgium

  • At least a Masters degree with a minimal level of 'onderscheiding'
  • Fluency in English, as well as French or Dutch (both written and spoken)
  • Maximum of 2 years' working experience
  • The legal right to work in the Belguim or the EU

France

  • Right to work in EU
  • Master degree or Engineer degree minimum
  • Graduate profile or maximum 2 years of professional experience
  • Fluent in English and French

Germany

  • Details TBC in Dec 2017

Hungary

  • University degree or MA essential, not older than 2 years
  • Not more than 2 years of work experience, excluding trainee positions
  • Fluent English skills
  • Right to work in the EU

Application process

It’s important to note that for all European positions, the recruitment process may differ from the process outlined in our previous How to Apply section of the site. Don’t worry if you’re a little confused – your local recruiter will give you a breakdown of exactly what those differences are and be there to guide you through the entire process.

All European programmes will be advertised on our jobs page over the coming months – so keep your eyes peeled! We’re on the hunt for graduates in Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, France and Hungary. There is a chance these may be advertised at different times due to the local schedules – so don’t panic if you can’t see the one you’re after and remember to keep checking!
